Remove & Install Electronic Control Module
1. Loosen the Allen screws from connectors (2) and (3) on Electronic Control Module (1). Disconnect connectors (2) and (3). 2. Disconnect fuel lines (5) and (6) from Electronic Control Module (1).3. Remove one bolt (7) from control module (1) and ground strap (4).4. Support Electronic Control Module (1). Remove three remaining bolts (7) and Electronic Control module (1).
To avoid component damage, use the Allen screws to pull the mating parts of connectors (2) and (3) together. Make sure the connectors are properly aligned and seated before installing the Allen screws. Do not over tighten the Allen screws. Excessive torque will cause component damage. Tighten the Allen screws holding connectors (2) and (3) to a torque of 2.25 0.25 N m (20.0 2.0 lb in).
5. Install the Electronic Control Module in the reverse order of removal.
