Procedure to Remove the Brake Pressure Sensors
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide", for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids in Caterpillar machines.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Park the machine on a smooth, hard surface.
Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels.

Disconnect 157-8394 Pressure Sensor (A) from wire harness (B) .
Install three 8T-8737 Seal Plugs (1) into 3E-3370 Receptacle As (2) .
Install 3E-3370 Receptacle As (2) into wire harness (B) .

Disconnect 157-8394 Pressure Sensor (A) from 9X-0261 Adapter (C) .
Remove 9X-0261 Adapter (C) and 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal from 7X-0873 Tee (D) .
Install 4C-9521 Protective Cap (3) and 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (4) on 7X-0873 Tee (D) .
Repeat Step 3 through Step 8 for the other pressure sensor.
