Information:

11. Fasten lifting slings and a hoist to the top of the swivel group. Slowly lift the swivel group until it is approximately 305 mm (12 in) above the main frame of the machine. Secure the swivel group in the raised position. Remove the hoist from the swivel group. 12. Place alignment marks on the components of the upper structure and the undercarriage frame assembly as shown for installation purposes. Disconnect four lubrication tube assemblies (12) from swing gear and bearing (13). Remove four bolts (14) and the spacers, 90 degrees apart from each other, that hold the upper structure to the undercarriage frame assembly. Install four guide bolts (15) in place of the four bolts (14). Identify the location of each guide bolt for assembly purpose. Remove the remaining 31 bolts (14) and spacers that hold the upper structure to the undercarriage frame assembly.
It is important to keep the upper structure level when it is being removed or installed. If the upper structure is not kept level, binding of the pinion shaft in the swing drive with the swing gear and bearing will result. The clearance between the gear is minimal.
Typical Example
Typical Example The weight of the upper structure and the undercarriage frame assembly will vary depending on the attachments. The weights which are listed below are only approximate weights. The weight of the upper structure should only be concentrated on Tooling (A) and (B). Tooling (D) is only used as additional support.13. Carefully raise the upper structure off the undercarriage frame assembly with Tooling (A) and (B) in 6.4 mm (.25 in) increments. Adjust Tooling (A) and (B) as necessary to obtain the clearance required to remove the undercarriage frame assembly from the upper structure. The weight of the upper structure is approximately 11800 kg (26 000 lb).14. Install Tooling (D) under the counterweight as shown for additional support.15. Release the parking brake. Refer to the topic "Towing Information", Manual Release Of Parking Brake, in the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure. 16. Fasten a suitable chain to undercarriage frame assembly (16). Remove the wood blocks from the tires. Slowly pull the undercarriage frame assembly out from under upper structure (17) with a lift truck as shown. The weight of the undercarriage frame assembly is approximately 7400 kg (16 300 lb).
If the undercarriage frame assembly is to be serviced, use wood blocks to support the upper structure of the machine so it can not fall. Support the upper structure under the main frame and sub frame.
The following steps are for installation of the undercarriage frame assembly. Check the condition of all O-ring seals used in hose assemblies and other components that were removed or disconnected. If any of these seals are damaged, use new parts for replacement.17. Make sure the mating surfaces of the upper structure and undercarriage frame assembly are clean and free of dirt and debris.18. Make sure four guide bolts (15) are in position in the upper structure, and that they
