Start by:a. remove tire and rimb. remove drive axle
Final Drive (Later Models) On the installation of the carrier, tighten the nuts that hold the carrier to a torque of 750 70 N m (550 50 lb ft).1. Remove the nuts that hold the final drive carrier. Install two 1/2 "- 13 NC forcing screws (1) in the carrier. Use the forcing screws to move the carrier out enough to install Lifting Bracket (A) with a 1/23/4 "- 13 NC X 1 " long bolt, flat washer and nut. 2. Fasten a lifting device to Lifting Bracket (A) and remove final drive carrier (2). The weight of the carrier is 408 kg (900 lb). Start by:a. remove final drive carrier 1. Use an eyebolt to lift three shafts (1) out or remove snap rings (2) and take the shafts out of the bottom. 2. Remove three gears (5), six steel washers (6) and six brass washers (3) from the carrier. The weight of the gear is 48 kg (105 lb).3. Remove two roller bearings (4) and spacer (7) from each of the gears. To assemble final drive carriers, reverse the removal steps.End By:a. install final drive carriers
