Door Strap - Inspect

Install the steering frame lock.Reference Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock".
Inspect door strap (1) for wear and fraying or damage. Replace a worn, frayed, or damaged door strap (1) .Door Hinge and Pin - Inspect

Inspect door hinges (2) for wear. Replace a worn hinge (2) .
Inspect hinge pin (3) for wear and retention. Replace a worn hinge pin (3) or retaining pin.Implement and Steering Neutralizer Valve and Actuator - Inspect

(4) Implement and steering neutralizer valve (5) Spool (6) Actuator
Inspect implement and steering neutralizer valve (4), the hoses, and the hydraulic fittings for signs of leaking oil. Repair or replace as required.
Inspect the implement and steering neutralizer valve boot for damage, cracks, or wear. Repair or replace as required.
Inspect actuator (6) for wear and damage, repair, or replace as required.
Check the operation of spool (5) on implement and steering neutralizer valve (4). Open the operator station door and check spool (5) is moved into implement and steering neutralizer valve (4) .
Close the operator station door and check spool (5) has moved fully out of implement and steering neutralizer valve (4). Repair or replace implement and steering neutralizer valve (4) as required.
Inspect implement and steering neutralizer valve (4) and actuator (6) mounting hardware. Replace any mounting hardware that is worn or damaged. Keep the mounting bolts tight.Implement and Steering Lockout (Wheel Steering) - Test
Ensure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions.Fasten the seat belt before testing the steering and implement lockout systems.Ensure that the steering frame lock is in the stored position.
Start the engine and raise the bucket slightly.
Depress the service brake pedal to apply the service brakes. Disengage the parking brake.
Personal injury or death from crushing can result if the machine turns towards the operator's station door (left turn) with the door open.Keep clear of the operator's station door and check the implement and steering lockout operation using a right turn only.
Open the operator station door approximately 200 mm (7.9 inch) and attempt to steer the machine in a right turn direction only. The machine should not move.
Move the joystick control lever to all lever positions. The bucket should not move.
Close the operator station door.
Engage the parking brake. Lower the bucket to the ground and stop the engine.
If the bucket or the machine moved while testing the implement and steering secondary lockout system, contact your Caterpillar dealer. Have the dealer inspect and repair the implement and steering secondary lockout before
