B 2P-8260 Cylinder Liner Installer 1
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Check the cylinder liner projection. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Cylinder Liner Projection - Inspect".

Apply liquid soap on the grooves for O-ring seals (3) and on the O-ring seals. Install the O-ring seals on cylinder liner (1). Also, coat the cylinder block bore for the cylinder liner with liquid soap.
Dip filler band (2) in clean engine oil. Immediately install the filler band onto the cylinder liner. Install the cylinder liner into the cylinder block before the filler band can expand. Ensure that the marks that are on the cylinder liner and the cylinder block are aligned.

Use Tooling (B) to press cylinder liner (1) into the cylinder block. End By:
Install the pistons and the connecting rod assemblies. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pistons and Connecting Rods - Install".
