Information:
This function helps the engine and transmission warm-up in cold climates by stalling the converter. Selecting gear "2R" from "Neutral" or "Park" will trigger the warm-up assist mode. Additionally, grounding the stall enable switch with the transmission in "Park" will also trigger the warm-up assist mode if the following conditions are met:
The transmission oil temperature is less than 87.7 °C (190 °F).
The torque converter oil temperature is less than 110.0 °C (230 °F).
The engine speed is less than 1000 rpm and the engine speed is greater than 500 rpm.Note: A cycle timer is used to control the stall time for the converter. The allowable time for stalling the converter is once for every 60 seconds. Shifting from "2R" will disengage the warm-up assist mode. The transmission will then return to normal operation.
