Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact the skin.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the proper draining and filling procedures.

Remove drain plug (4).
Disconnect hose assembly (1) and remove the fittings.
Remove bolts (3) and remove engine oil pan (2). Discard the gasket and use a new gasket for installation. Installation Procedure
Install engine oil pan (2) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to all gasket joints to fill the space at the flywheel housing, the engine block, and engine oil pan (2). Install engine oil pan (2) within 10 minutes of applying Tooling (A).

Callout (y) indicates location of stud bolts.
The arrow points toward the front housing.
Note: Torque bolts (3) by hand using the following torque sequences.
Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 40 5 N m (30 4 lb ft) using the torque sequence in Illustration 2.

Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 47 5 N m (35 4 lb ft) using the torque sequence in Illustration 3.
Install drain plug (4) to a torque of 82 10 N m (60 7 lb ft).
