1. Disconnect wires (1) from fuel shutoff solenoid (3).2. Remove bolts (2) and remove the fuel shutoff solenoid and shaft assembly.Install Fuel Shutoff Solenoid
1. Install shaft (2) in plunger (1). Adjust the shaft until dimension "X" is 1.02 in. (25.9 mm). Tighten the locknut on the shaft.2. Install the plunger and shaft assembly in the solenoid. 3. Put solenoid (3) in position on the adapter housing. Make sure the shoulder on the shaft assembly of the solenoid is in position behind lever (4) in the adapter housing. Install the bolts that hold the solenoid in place.4. Connect the wires to the solenoid.5. Two checks must be made on the engine to make sure the solenoid adjustment is correct.
