1. Set the parking brake.2. Shift the transmission into NEUTRAL.3. Loosen locknut and adjust bolt (3) into clutch pedal until bolt (3) does not touch firewall when pedal depressed until it stops (full travel). This assures that the transmission brake valve is at full brake-on position.4. Depress the clutch pedal and start the engine.5. Release the clutch pedal after engine starts.6. Adjust the length of rods (1) and (4) so that distance (2) from the firewall to the back edge of tread plate on pedal is ... 220 3 mm (8.7 .1 in)7. Depress clutch pedal until it stops and adjust bolt (3) so that it just makes contact with the firewall.8. Tighten the locknut on bolt (3).9. To check linkage adjustment, install a 0 to 4000 kPa (0 to 600 psi) pressure gauge on the transmission brake pressure tap.10. Start the engine and run it at low idle.11. With clutch pedal fully depressed (transmission brake engaged) the pressure gauge must read 1475 100 kPa (215 15 psi).
