Installation Procedure

Attach a suitable lifting device to engine (23). The weight of engine (23) is approximately 454 kg (1000 lb). Position engine (23). Note: Do not remove the lifting device from engine (23) at this time.

position locks (24). Install bolts (25). Tighten bolts (25) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft). Apply locks (24).

Install bolts (26). Tighten bolts (26) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).

Install bolts (28). Connect hose assembly (27).

Remove suitable cribbing from generator (22).

Connect harness assembly (21). Position screen (20) and install bolts (19).

Connect hoses (14). Connect harness assemblies (13), (15), (16), (17), and (18).

Install bolts (8) and (10). Connect harness assembly (9) and (11). Connect cable assemblies (12) and install the nuts that secure cable assemblies (12). Connect hose (7).

Connect hose (5). Connect harness assembly (4) and (6).

Position support (2) and jacket water heater (3). Install bolts (1).
Fill the engine with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual , "Engine Oil and Filter - Change".
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual , "Battery or Battery Cable - Disconnect". End By:
Install the engine lifting group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Lifting Group - Remove and Install".
