Information:
Fuel Systems
The fuel system installed on your engine may operate with an Integrated Electronic Pressure Regulator (IEPR), or a Dynamic Electropneumatic Pressure Regulator (DEPR)IEPR fuel systems operate with a diaphragm style variable venturi mixer. The IEPR will regulate the fuel pressure being delivered to the mixer. These parts are not adjustable and should not be tampered with. Proper inlet pressure, volume, and BTU recommendations prior to commissioning the engine.Fuel Shutoff
LPG and NG engines are equipped with two shutoff valves connected back to back. The fuel shutoff valves are on the base frame, attached to the engine fuel lines. The purpose of the fuel shutoffs is to prevent and allow fuel flow from the source to the engine fuel system. The first valve is referred to as the primary valve, and is connected to the customer supply line at the base frame. The second valve is connected at the back of the primary valve. The second valve is referred to as the secondary valve, and is connected to the fuel line, and to the engine. Both valves are 12 volt solenoids, and are normally closed. The primary valve is controlled by the EMCP, and the secondary valve is controlled by the engine ECM.Governors
Your engine has an isochronous governor installed. The governor controls the movement of the throttle plate via a 0-12 volt signal and a ground provided by the ECM. The throttle plate allows the correct amount of air to enter the engine. This movement is monitored by using 2 throttle position sensors located internal to the governor. The ECM monitors various engine sensors to determine what the correct throttle position should be.LPG or NG Fuel Systems
Turn on the gas supply to the engine. Turn the ignition key to the START position. After the engine starts release the key to the ON position.Power Loss at Higher Elevations
All engines will experience power loss when operated at elevations above sea level, unless turbocharged or supercharged. Turbochargers and superchargers are mechanical pumps that put extra air into the engine to make up for the lower air density at higher elevations.
