Remote control throttle circuitThe components of the remote control throttle circuit are the Engine Electronic Control Module (ECM), remote control switch, receiver, interface control module, and the throttle switch.

(4) Interface control module (5) Throttle switch (6) Relay 17 for remote control throttleWith the key start switch in the ON position, 24 volt power is supplied from the batteries via circuit breaker 13 to the CAT monitoring system ECM. When remote control switch (2) is in the ON position 24 volt power is supplied to interface control module (4) and remote control receiver (3). When there is no throttle signal supplied by remote control receiver (3) to relay 17 for remote control throttle (6) the relay is de-energized. This allows the signal from the throttle position sensor in the operators station to be sent to engine ECM (1). When a throttle position is selected from the transmitter, a radio signal is sent from the transmitter to receiver (3). Receiver (3) sends a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal to energize relay 17 for remote control throttle (6) in interface control module (4). When relay 17 for remote control throttle (6) is energized this allows the throttle signal from the transmitter to be sent to engine ECM (1). Engine ECM (1) adjusts the throttle to the level required.Connector contact 18 is connected to J1-53 of the Engine ECM.Note: When the machine is fitted with factory fitted remotes, throttle switch (5) must be in the ON position.
