Follow the recommended procedure for removal and installation of tires and or wheel assemblies.Ensure that the machine and tire and or wheel assembly are properly supported at all times.Improper procedures that are used to remove and install tires and or wheel assemblies can result in personal injury or death.

Position Tooling (A) as shown in Illustration 1. Lift the front of the machine with Tooling (A) until the front tires are off the ground. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (A). Install Tooling (B) under the front axle opposite the wheel.

Fasten a suitable lifting device to the front tire. Remove bolts (2) and the washers. Remove the tire and rim (1) from the spindle hub. The weight of the tire and rim is approximately 318 kg (701 lb).
Repeat Step 2 for the opposite side.Installation Procedure

Note: Mating surfaces between the spindle hub and the rim must be clean for proper assembly.

Fasten a suitable lifting device to the front tire. Install the tire and rim (1) on the spindle hub. Install bolts (2) and the washers. Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 700 90 N m (516 66 lb ft). The weight of the tire and rim (1) is approximately 318 kg (701 lb).
Repeat Step 1 for the opposite side.

Raise the machine with Tooling (A). Remove Tooling (B). Lower the machine to the ground and remove Tooling (A).
