After inspecting per Service Letter REBE5627 and contacting the DSN Tier II the frame can be either weld repaired or replaced as per DSN Tier II discussion.
WELD REPAIR OF FRONT FRAME WITH TOP AND BOTTOM PLATES CRACKED
After contacting Motor Grader DSN Tier II and the weld repair option is elected refer to the weld repair Special Instructions REHS4249 which outlines needed parts and welds. Perform steps to replace "C" Plates, "Side Plates" and welds on sides of center shift and top and bottom plates per special instructions.
REPLACEMENT FO FRONT FRAME
After contacting Motor Grader DSN Tier II and the frame replacement option is elected refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary and replace the front frame.
