Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Check the condition of the O-rings. If the O-rings are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Always replace used gaskets with new gaskets.

Install the O-ring seals on adapter (8). Lightly lubricate the bore of engine oil cooler (7) and the O-ring seals with engine oil. Install the adapter into the engine oil cooler.
Install the O-ring seals and put the engine oil cooler in position on the engine. Install bolts (9).

Install the O-ring seals on adapter (6). Install the O-ring seals on the engine oil cooler bonnet (4). Lightly lubricate the bore of engine oil cooler and the O-ring seals with engine oil.
Put gasket (5) in position . Put the engine oil cooler bonnet in position on the engine oil cooler.
Start the threads of bolts (3) loosely.

Put gasket (1) in position and install bolts (2).
Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 55 7 N m (40 5 lb ft).
Fill the engine to the correct level with coolant. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for instructions on filling the engine with coolant.
