Diagnostics CMD5
When a fault occurs in the control system, a diagnostic indication will appear. The diagnostic indication alerts the operator that a problem exists. The SPN/FMI codes indicate the type of failure and will be used the dealer technician to locate and resolve the fault. The number in parentheses indicates the severity level of the fault. By acknowledging the diagnostic by pressing the Acknowledge button, the fault will disappear.Details of the diagnostics will be logged and stored as either 'Active' or 'Logged' and information will be stored including the following:

The diagnostics details screen shows active faults in the left side of the screen. The information includes the following:

Description of each faultThe color of the rectangle indicates the severity of the fault.
Green indicates low severity.
Yellow indicates mid severity.

Logged diagnostics
Refer to Illustration 4. To display logged (past) faults, tap the "Logged" soft button that is highlighted in blue.If all logged diagnostics cannot be displayed on the left side of the screen, a scroll bar (15) will appear. By dragging the scroll bar up or down, all logged diagnostics can be displayed.

The current state (logged or active)

Display Does Not Power Up
1. Ensure that connectors are securely inserted.
2. Check wiring for damage or corrosion.
3. Check voltage from power supply of the ship.
4. Check the customer/OEM connector, wiring, and circuit breaker.
J1939 Connection Lost
1. Inspect datalink (J1939) wiring for damage, corrosion, or improper attachment.
Verify correct installation of wiring and terminating resistors for the J1939 datalink at the customer connection point. Refer to the Application and Installation Guide, LEBM0077 for further information required.
Display Does Not Read Data
1. If the engine or transmission parameter(s) are display dashes (----) instead of values,
