CAB GP 4886665 - Caterpillar

1. Open the cab door. 2. Remove six truss head screws (1) and guard (2). 3. Raise the lower windshield.4. Remove four truss head screws (3) and cover (4) for the cab defroster. 5. Engage swing lock lever (9).6. Remove three truss head screws (5) and cover (6).7. Remove four truss head screws (7) and cover (8). 8. Remove the seat assembly from the machine. See the topic "Remove & Install Seat Assembly" in this module.9. Open the middle compartment door located behind the seat assembly.10. Remove 11 truss head screws (10), middle compartment (12) and two side covers (11) from the cab. 11. Put identification marks on three electrical connectors (13). Disconnect the three electrical connectors. 12. Remove six bolts (14) and the washers that hold the cab to the operators platform at the rear. 13. Remove six bolts (15) and the washers that hold the cab to the operators platform at the front and sides. 14. Remove four truss head screws (16) and two brackets (17) from the cab wall. 15. Fasten Tool (A) and a hoist to the top of cab (18) as shown. Carefully remove the cab from the machine. The weight of the cab is approximately 295 kg (650 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the cab. 16. Fasten Tool (A) and a hoist to the top of the cab as shown. Carefully put cab (18) in position on the operators platform. 17. Install two brackets (17) and four truss head screws (16). 18. Install six bolts (15) and the washers that hold the cab in position at the front and sides. 19. Install six bolts (14) and the washers that hold the cab in position at the rear. 20. Connect three electrical connectors (13) in their original locations. 21. Reinstall side covers (11), middle compartment (12) and 11 truss head screws (10). 22. Reinstall cover (8) and four truss head screws (7).23. Reinstall cover (6) and three truss head screws (5). 24. Reinstall cover (4) for the cab defroster. 25. Reinstall guard (2) and six truss head screws (1).
