The following procedure will check the adjustment of the lift arm positioner magnetic switch.Check Preparation
Move the machine to a hard level surface away from operating machines and away from personnel.
Engage the parking brake. Place wheel blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
Stop the engine.
Install the steering frame lock. ReferenceRefer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock" for the machine being serviced.Check Procedure

(3) Lift arm positioner switch
Move lift arm positioner switch (3) to the ON position.
Start the engine.
Move the joystick control lever to the TILT BACK position until the bucket is fully tilted back.
Raise the lift arms to the maximum height. Move the joystick control lever to the FLOAT position. The lift arm positioner should bring the lift arms and the bucket to a controlled stop at the correct height for digging.
Record height (A). Refer to Illustration 1.
Refer to Table 1 for the correct height adjustment.

Tilt the bucket forward until the cutting edge of the bucket touches the ground. The bucket should be in the digging position, as shown in Illustration 3.
Stop the engine.
If height (A) or Step 7 are incorrect, continue with "Adjustment Procedure".
If height (A) and Step 7 are correct, remove the steering frame lock.ReferenceRefer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock" for the machine being serviced.Adjustment Procedure

(1) Magnetic switch (2) Bolt
Loosen two bolts (2).

Position for recording lift arm positioner / bucket height
If height (A) is greater than the height in Table 1, adjust magnetic switch (1) downwards.
If height (A) is less than the height in Table 1, adjust magnetic switch (1) upwards.
Tighten two bolts (2) .
Repeat "Check Procedure".
Remove the steering frame lock. ReferenceRefer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock" for the machine being serviced.
