Walk-Around Inspection
For your own safety, and maximum service life of the machine, make a thorough inspection before mounting the machine or starting the engine. To prevent possible injury to nearby personnel be sure area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions.
This machine is equipped with a Prestart Fluid Compartment Level Indicator System. These indicators are not operative with the engine running. It is intended for use by the operator. This system does not replace the use of dipsticks or sight gauge levels. Maintenance personnel should use the dipsticks and sight gauges to verify the fluid levels. 1. Disconnect anti-pivot rod and fasten to retaining plates. 2. Measure tire inflation pressure. See TIRE INFLATION INFORMATION. 3. Measure the transmission oil level. Oil level should be above the FULL mark on the dipstick. 4. Observe the cooling system coolant level. Coolant level should be within 1/2 inch (1 cm) of the bottom of the fill pipe. 5. Move the PANEL TEST switch down. All indicator lights should come on and the warning horn will sound. Indicator lights that do not come on may be burned out. If so, they must be replaced. Refer to the LUBRICATION and MAINTENANCE GUIDE for additional information. 6. The FULL TORQUE indicator will be ON if the VCTC override switch is on.7. For accurate verification of levels of oil or fuel, use the following. a. Measure fuel level. Fuel level should be to FULL mark on dipstick. b. Engine oil level should be between the LOW and FULL marks on the ENGINE STOPPED side of the dipstick. c. Hydraulic oil level should be above the ADD COLD mark in the sight gauge.Positioning Seat
