Information:

Do not use the secondary/parking brake without first using the propulsion control lever to stop the machine. Overheating can cause excessive brake wear.
1. Stop the machine by moving the propulsion control lever to the STOP position. 2. Reduce engine speed by moving the throttle control lever to the IDLE position. 3. Apply the parking brake by moving the parking brake switch up to the ON position. If freezing temperatures are expected, both drums should be cleaned of mud and dirt and the machine parked on wood planks. The water spray system should either be completely drained or protected with anti-freeze.Stopping the Engine
Stopping the engine immediately after it has been working under load, can result in overheating and accelerated wear of the engine components. Follow the stopping procedure outlined below to allow the engine to cool and to prevent excessive temperatures.
1. Move the throttle control lever to the IDLE position.2. Operate the engine at LOW IDLE for five minutes. This allows hot areas in the engine to cool gradually, extending engine life. 3. Turn the key switch to OFF. 4. Stop the engine by pushing the emergency stop button down.Leaving the Machine
1. Remove the key from the switch. This will prevent the engine from being started by unauthorized persons. 2. Use handholds and steps when leaving the machine.3. Lock all vandalism caps and covers. Close and lock the engine compartment access doors.
