Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Lower the scraper bowl to the ground and engage the parking brake. Chock the wheels in order to prevent the machine from moving.

Install Tooling (D) onto the lower elevator flight.

Attach a hoist with a suitable lifting device to the top elevator flight. Get the elevator chain started onto the elevator drive sprockets.

Attach two of Tooling (B) to the top elevator flight.
Use Tooling (B) to pull the elevator chain downward.Note: The suitable lifting device should remain on the elevator flight until the elevator flight is completely over the elevator drive sprockets.

Install a suitable lifting device, as shown. Remove Tooling (D) .

Install Tooling (D) onto the two loose elevator flights. Tighten Tooling (A) until you can fit Tooling (C) onto the two loose ends of the chain.

Install Tooling (C) in order to pull the chain together.
Use Tooling (C) to connect the link assemblies to the elevator chain.

Install drive pin (6). Remove Tooling (C) .

Attach a suitable lifting device onto flight (3). The weight of flight (3) is approximately 63 kg (139 lb).
Position flight (3) and install bolts (4) .

Attach a suitable lifting device onto guard assembly (1). The weight of guard assembly (1) is approximately 75 kg (165 lb).
Position guard assembly (1) and install bolts (2) .
