Ensure that the engine throttle lines up correctly with the governor lever. The holes in the throttle cable should be even with the holes in the governor lever. The clip should slide into the holes with little effort.

Check the rod end yoke (2) at the accelerator pedal levers that are under the floor of the operator station. Ensure that the hand throttle is fully back. Pull on the lever (1) that will be attached to the rod end yoke and cable. When you move the lever (1), the lever (3) that is attached to the engine throttle cable should move. If the lever (3) does not move, detach the clip and the rod end yoke. In order to get the holes that are in the rod end yoke to line up with the holes that are in the lever, turn the yoke on the throttle cable clockwise or counterclockwise. There should be no slack in the cable to the hand throttle. Then, insert the clip. Make sure that you snap the clip into position.

If the rod end yoke on the engine throttle cable (4) will not reach the governor lever (5), call product quality. You may need to replace the cable or the accelerator pedal.
Stop and call product quality if you cannot perform the following procedure. You cannot turn the yoke (2) in Illustration 3 clockwise so that the holes line up. You cannot turn yoke (2) in Illustration 3 counterclockwise so that the holes line up. Product quality can tell you the procedure to adjust the cables in order to fix these problems.
You may need to replace the tachometer if both of these situations occur.
When you activate both throttle cables, the rpm readings match but the readings are not to the test specifications.
When you put the machine at high idle and at low idle, the rpm is correct but the reading on the tachometer is not correct.The low idle for the machines should be 950 30 rpm. The high idle for the machines should be 2350 40 rpm.
The following problem could cause the tachometer reading to be inaccurate. Both of the cables can be correctly adjusted.

Assemble the 235-0128 Cable As (2) to the 243-0059 Governor Pedal Gp (1).

Remove the retaining clip from the engine end of the cable assembly (2). Adjust the rod end yoke (3) in order to ensure that the cable is attached to the center of the governor lever (4). Install the retaining clip.

Depress the 243-0059 Governor Pedal Gp until the lever for the engine governor at the fuel injector pump contacts the high idle stop. Overtravel begins at this position.

Depress the 243-0059 Governor Pedal Gp. Adjust the pedal stop bolt (6) until the pedal stop contacts the pedal.
Tighten the locknut for the pedal stop bolt. Slight overtravel should be achieved.
