Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device (1). Install coolant tank (2) .

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device (1) .
Install two wires on each of four signal lamps (3) .

Connect electrical connector (5). Install wiring harness (4). Install the radiator guard cover.

The electrical connector for the backup alarm is located under the radiator guard cover.
Connect electrical connector (6) .

Connect wiring harness (11). Connect electrical connector (6).
Tighten hose clamps (9). Position the hose on the coolant tank. Install filler cap (8) .
Install ladders (7).

Install grill (12). Install auxiliary starting receptacle (13) .
Refill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for information regarding the correct refill capacity.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.End By: Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
