Refer to the Systems Operation, "Relief Valve (Pilot)" and Systems Operation, "Pilot Valve (Pilot Manifold)" for system operation of offset boom auxiliary circuit components. The offset boom was designed to work in tight environments.Operation
Illustration 3 g00526111
Note: To operate the offset boom, make sure that the pilot lock control switch is deactivated. Also, the left console must be in the DOWN position in order to operate any factory installed hydraulic controls.Offset Boom with Medium Pressure Function
Pilot flow control valve (6) directs 15 L/min (4 US gpm) of oil to the left side of pilot manifold (5). The remaining oil flows to the right side of pilot manifold (5) to auxiliary pre-selector control valve (7). If no auxiliary attachments are being used, the auxiliary oil drains to tank (T1/2) .Whenever one of the following joystick switches is pressed, auxiliary pre-selector control valve (7) is energized through diode box (8) : (9), (10), (11) and (12). Auxiliary pre-selector control valve (7) is shifted in the downward direction and oil flows to offset boom control valve (1) .Offset Boom Left
When left switch (11) of the right joystick is pressed, the system reacts, as follows:
Pre-selector control valve (7) is shifted in the downward direction.
Offset boom control valve (1) is shifted to the left.
Pilot oil flows through pre-selector control valve (7) to port "A" of pilot manifold (5) .
Pilot oil flows from pilot manifold (5) to port "P" of the auxiliary attachment manifold.
Pilot oil flows through offset boom control valve (1) and through left check valve (2) to port "A2".
Oil pressure increases in the head end of offset boom cylinder (4) .
Pilot oil pressure opens right relief valve (3)
