Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Verify that all of the components of the steering pump output screen are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.Note: Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install plug (15), spring (14), and O-ring seal (13) to housing assembly (10) .
Install plastic seal (12) and O-ring seal (11) to housing assembly (10) .

Install housing assembly (10), screen assembly (9), and O-ring seal (8) to base (4). Tighten housing assembly (10) to a torque of 65 N m (48 lb ft). Install O-ring seal (7) and plug assembly (6) to base (4) .

Install two O-ring seals (5) to differential pressure switch (2) .
Position differential pressure switch (2) to base (4). Install four bolts (3) that secure differential pressure switch (2) to base (4) .
Connect socket assembly (1) to the plug assembly on differential pressure switch (2) .
Install steering pump output screen (4) to the mounting bracket before installation. Install the remaining steering pump output screen (4) to the mounting bracket.End By: Install the steering pump output screen. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Screen (Steering Pump Output) - Install".
