Remove the engine and the torque converter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine and Torque Converter - Remove".

Place the engine and the torque converter on Tooling (A), as shown.

Attach a suitable lifting device to pump group (1). The weight of pump group (1) is approximately 95 kg (210 lb). Remove bolts (2) and pump group (1). Remove the gasket.

Remove cable straps (3) and (5). Disconnect harness assemblies (4) and (6). Place harness assemblies (4) and (6) onto the engine.

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to torque converter assembly (7). The weight of torque converter assembly (7) is approximately 601 kg (1325 lb). Remove bolts (8). Use Tooling (C) in order to separate torque converter assembly (7) from the engine. Connection Procedure

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to torque converter assembly (7). The weight of torque converter assembly (7) is approximately 601 kg (1325 lb). Install torque converter assembly (7). Install bolts (8).

Move harness assemblies (4) and (6) into position. Connect harness assemblies (4) and (6). Install cable straps (3) and (5).

Attach a suitable lifting device to pump group (1). The weight of pump group (1) is approximately 95 kg (210 lb). Install pump group (1) and a new gasket. Install bolts (2). End By:
Install the engine and the torque converter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine and Torque Converter - Install".
