Information:
Parking Brake
Do not engage the parking brake while the machine is moving unless the primary service brake fails. The use of the parking brake as a service brake in regular operation will cause severe damage to the brake system.
Parking Brake - The parking brake knob is located on the steering column. The parking brake is to be used after the machine has been stopped. Parking Brake Engaged - Pull the knob out to engage the parking brake. Parking Brake Disengaged - Push the knob in to release the parking brake. Secondary Brake - The secondary brake uses the same knob as the parking brake. The secondary brake is to be used if the service brakes fail to stop the machine.Brake Pedals
Brake Pedals - The left brake pedal (1) and the right brake pedal (2) slows down the machine ground speed for normal braking.Depress either brake pedal for normal machine braking.Release the pedal to release the brake.Accelerator Pedal
Depress the accelerator pedal to increase the engine speed. Release the pedal to decrease the engine speed.Pull the pedal back past detent to stop the engine.Transmission Direction and Speed Control
Direction Selector
FORWARD (1) - Move the transmission lever up. The machine will move forward. NEUTRAL (2) - The machine should not move when transmission lever is in neutral. REVERSE (3) - Move the transmission lever down. The machine will move in reverse.Speed Selector
Rotate the transmission lever to the desired gear speed:1 - First Speed2 - Second Speed3 - Third Speed4 - Fourth SpeedSteering Controls
Directional Steering
The directional steering, of the machine, is controlled by the steering wheel. The direction the steering wheel is turned, is the direction that the machine will turn. The steering frame lock must be removed to steer the machine. See Before Starting the Engine for information. Left Turn - Move the steering wheel in a counterclockwise direction to steer the machine, to the left. The farther the steering wheel is turned in a counterclockwise direction the sharper the left turn. Right Turn - Move the steering wheel in a clockwise direction to steer the machine, to the right. The farther the steering wheel is turned in a clockwise direction the sharper the right turn.Steering Column Tilting
Steering Column Tilt Lock
UNLOCKED - Turn the key clockwise to unlock the steering column tilt lock. Remove the key. LOCKED - Turn the key counterclockwise to lock the steering column tilt lock. Remove the key.Steering Column Tilt Knob
To adjust the steering column, pull the steering column tilt knob (1) out and move the steering column (2) to the desired position. Release the steering column tilt knob (1) and the steering column will remain in the desired position.
