Mark the location of dowel (Y) on carrier assembly (30). Mark the location of notch (Y) on ball bearing (21) .
Install clutch piston (19) in clutch housing (10). Attach Tooling (M) in order to keep clutch piston (20) in clutch housing (10) .
Attach Tooling (C) to clutch housing (10). Position a suitable lifting device to Tooling (C). Secure the suitable lifting device to a hoist. Install clutch housing (10). The weight of clutch housing (10) is 84 kg (185 lb). Install 12 springs (21). Check that marks (Y) are aligned. Install 12 springs (20). Remove Tooling (C). Remove Tooling (M).

Install metal seal ring (15) on retainer (13). Attach Tooling (K) to retainer (13). Position a suitable lifting device to Tooling (K). Secure the suitable lifting device to a hoist. Lift up retainer (13) in order to install retaining ring (17) on carrier assembly (16). Remove Tooling (K) .
Install 17 bolts (18) and washers in clutch housing (10). Tighten bolts 18 to a torque of 410 50 N m (302.4 36.9 lb ft).

Install O-ring seal (14) on bearing retainer (11) .

Install bearing retainer (11) on clutch housing (10). Install six bolts (12) and washers that secure bearing retainer (11) to clutch housing (10) .

Use the following procedure to make sure that the clutch pistons move within the clutch housings.
Use Tool (Air) (not shown) to apply shop air pressure to each of the five oil passages (X). The air pressure must be free of water and the air pressure must not exceed 690 to 1025 kPa (100 to 150 psi).
If the clutch pistons do not move, apply a small amount of clean hydraulic oil in the oil passage (X). Check for movement again. If the clutch pistons do not move, the transmission must be disassembled in order to determine the cause.

Install O-ring seal (8) on case assembly (1) .

Attach Tooling (G) to case assembly (1). Position a suitable lifting device to Tooling (G). Secure the suitable lifting device to a hoist. Install case assembly (1) on support housing assembly (6). The weight of case assembly (1) is 204 kg (450 lb). Remove Tooling (G) .

Install eight bolts (7) and the washers that secure case assembly (1) to support housing assembly (6) .

Install O-ring seal (4) on lube manifold (3). Install O-ring seal (5) on lube manifold (3) .

Install the hydraulic control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Control Valve - Install".
Connect the transmission and the output transfer gears. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Planetary and Output Transfer Gear - Connect".
