1. Disconnect the clips that hold breather tubes (2) in position.2. Loosen the clamps and remove breathers (1) and breather tubes (2) as a unit from the valve covers on the right side of the engine. 3. Remove the bolts and valve covers (3) from the valve cover bases. The following steps are for the installation of the valve covers.4. Check the seal in valve covers (3) for wear or damage. If necessary, make a replacement of the seals.5. Put valve covers (3) in position on the valve cover bases. 6. Install the bolts to hold the valve covers. Tighten the bolts in number sequence shown to a torque of 14 4 N m (10 3 lb.ft.).7. Put clean engine oil on the seals and install breather (1) and breather tubes (2) on the right side of the engine. Tighten the clamps for breathers (1) to a torque of 4.5 0.6 N m (40 5 lb.in.).
