The wall thickness of the manifold must be at least 7.0 mm (0.28 inch) in order for the manifold to be reworked.
Machine the outside diameter of the manifold to 78.70 mm (3.098 inch). This will allow the manifold sections to expand and to contract individually, therefore reducing the risk of the manifolds shearing the exhaust manifold studs.
Machine the two 2.64 mm (0.1039 inch) grooves in the outside of the manifold. These grooves will allow the installation of the exhaust seal assemblies.
Clean any carbon and/or deposits from the inside diameter of the mating exhaust manifold.
Install two 100-7401 Exhaust Seal Assemblies on the manifold.Note: Two 100-7401 Exhaust Seal Assemblies will be needed for each manifold interface.
