1. Put the bail in the "DOWN" position. Disconnect oil line (1) and remove line (2) from the kickout valve.2. Remove the two bolts that hold the kickout valve (3) to the cylinder and move the valve clear of the cylinder. 3. Disconnect oil lines (4) and (5) from the cylinder. Put plugs in the line. 4. Fasten a hoist to push-pull cylinder (6). Remove pins (7) that hold the cylinder in place and remove the cylinder. Weight is 80 lb. (36 kg).Install Push-Pull Cylinder
1. Put push-pull cylinder (1) in position and install pins (2) that hold the cylinder in place. 2. Connect oil lines (3) and (4) to the cylinder. 3. Put the kickout valve (5) in position on the cylinder and install the bolts that hold it.4. Connect the oil lines to the kickout valve.Disassemble Push-Pull Cylinder
start by:a) remove push-pull cylinder 1. Use tooling (D) to remove the ring and bearing from both ends of push-pull cylinder (1). 2. Fasten a hoist and put cylinder (1) on tool (A) as shown.3. Move the rod out of the cylinder until the rod is fully extended as shown.4. Install support (3) and strap (2) to hold the rod in position. 5. Loosen setscrew (4). 6. Use tool (B) to remove crown (5). 7. Pull the cylinder off of the piston and rod with tool (A). 8. Use tooling (C) as shown to remove the bolt from the end of the rod. 9. Remove piston (6) and head (7) from the rod.10. Remove the seal assembly and ring from the piston. 11. Remove seals (8) and (9) from the head. Remove seal and back-up ring (10) from the head.Assemble Push-Pull Cylinder
1. Use tool (A) to install bottom seal (1). Install the center seal (2) with the lip toward the inside of the head when installed. Use tooling (B) to install top seal (3) with the lip toward the outside of the head when installed.2. Install the bacl-up ring and O-ring seal (4) on the head with the back-up ring toward the outside of the head when installed. 3. Install the O-ring seal and seal (5) on the piston. Use tool (G) to install seal (5). Install ring (6) on the piston. 4. Be sure crown (7) is on the rod.5. Put clean oil on the seals on the head and piston. Install head (8) and piston (9) on the rod as shown. Install the washer and bolt (10) that hold the piston on the rod. 6. Use tooling (C) as shown to tighten bolt (10) to a torque of 800 80 lb.ft. (1090 110 N m). 7. Push cylinder (11) on to the piston and head until the head is against its seat on the cylinder. Install crown (7) on the cylinder. 8. Use tooling (D) to tighten the crown to a torque of approximately 350 + 200 - 0 lb.ft. (470 + 270 - 0 N m). 9. Tighten setscrew (12) to a torque of 25
