Install lip seals (32) with the sealing lip toward the inside of water temperature regulator housing (28) .

If the water temperature regulator is installed incorrectly, it will cause the engine to overheat.
Apply Tooling (B) on lip seals (32) . Install water temperature regulators (31) . The spring must face out, as shown.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to water temperature regulator housing (28) . The weight of water temperature regulator housing (28) is approximately 29 kg (65 lb).
Install a new gasket under water temperature regulator housing (28) . Use a suitable lifting device to carefully position water temperature regulator housing (28) .

Install water temperature regulator housing (28) and bolts (29) to coolant manifold (30) .

Install bolts (27) that secure air cleaner support (26) on the left side to water temperature regulator housing (28) .
Repeat Step 6 for the right air cleaner support.

Connect tube assemblies (25) to the water temperature regulator housing.
Install clips (24) that secure the ether starting aid tube assembly to the water temperature regulator housing.
Install clip (23) on the water temperature regulator housing.

Connect hose assembly (16) to elbow (9) .
Connect tube assembly (19) to water line elbow (17) .
Install bolts (21) that secure bracket (20) to oil filter base (22) .
Tighten hose clamp (18) .

Lubricate the O-ring seals of tube assembly (11) . Connect tube assembly (11) to the water pump.
Connect tube assembly (11) to elbow (9) .
Install the bolts and retainers (10) that secure tube assembly (11) to elbow (9) .
Install clip (13) and bolt (12) .
Install the bolts and retainers (15) .
Connect hose assembly (14) to tube assembly (11) .

Position upper shield assembly (7) and install bolts (5) .
Position lower shield assembly (8) and install bolts (6) .

Position upper grill (1) and install bolts (3) .
Position lower grill (2) and install bolts (4) .
Repeat Steps 23 and 24 for the opposite side of the machine.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to the appropriate Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct procedure.
