At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the hydraulic system before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows:a. Shut off the engine.b. Move the control levers through their full travel strokes. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.c. Slowly loosen the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.d. Tighten the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank.e. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed. 1. Identify, disconnect and cap lines (1). 2. Remove bolts (2) and remove valve. Install in the reverse order. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. Start By:a. remove bulldozer control valve 1. Remove four screws and cover (1) from valve body. Remove valve spool assembly (2) from the valve body. 2. Remove screw (8) and washer. Remove collar (5), collar (7), spring (4) and collar (6) from the valve spool (3). 3. Remove plug (9) and then remove spring (10) and poppet (11) from the valve body. Remove O-ring seal (12) from plug (9). Inspect the O-ring seal and make a replacement if necessary.Assemble Bulldozer Control Valve
1. Install poppet and spring in valve housing. Put a new O-ring seal on plug (1) and install the plug in the valve housing.2. Assemble valve spool assembly (2) and install it in the valve housing. Install cover and the four screws that hold the cover.End By:a. install bulldozer control valve
