Component Codes 7510SUBJECT: Installation of Remote Grease Lines on 988G Wheel Loaders
PROBLEM:
Some customers have requested remote bucket pin grease lines to improve maintenance accessibility.
SOLUTION:
Install remote grease lines and guard using the parts and procedure below:
1. Remove the hydraulic fitting from the boom at the lower bucket pin.
2. Assemble the 225-2648 Tube As., 225-2647 Block, and 3B-8489 Hydraulic Fitting. Mount the parts on the boom.
3. Center the block on the boom. Tack weld the block in position.
4. Using two 8T-4139 bolts and two 5P-1076 washers, mount the 225-2645 Guard As. to the block. Use the two lower holes in the guard to locate the two 225-2646 boss locations. Mark the location with a pen or pencil.
5. Remove the Guard As. and weld the two bosses in position. Install the Guard As.
6. Using four 8T-4139 bolts and four 5P-1076 washers, install the Guard As.
7. Grease the pin.
