Transmission ECM
An explanation of the configured parameters for the Transmission Chassis ECM that will load factory defaults when the software is flashed are listed below:Transmission Serial Number - The serial number will be listed for the transmission that is installed on the machine.Autoshift Installation Status - Autoshift is a software enabled function. A factory password is required to install this function. Factory default is "Not Installed".Transmission Shift Control Parameters - Transmission Shifting patterns can be configured for the Manual Mode and the Autoshift Modes. The parameters that can be configured are:
Initial gear in the forward and reverse direction
Maximum gear in the forward and reverse direction
Maximum Autoshift gear in the forward and reverse direction
Minimum Autoshift gear in the forward and reverse direction
Refer to Systems Operation, "Features" for more information on the transmission parameters that can be configured.Machine Speed Limit - This function limits machine maximum travel speed. The factory default is "Disabled". When enabled, this parameter will limit engine driven speed for specific gears. The parameter will not limit speed caused by other factors such as rolling downhill. The configurable range is 16.1 km/h (10 mph) to 80.5 km/h (50 mph). Factory default is 80.5 km/h (50 mph).Machine Speed Correction Factor - The machine travel speed is calculated using the transmission output speed and the tire size. This parameter allows for adjustment for higher accuracy when measured against external speed measuring devices. The configurable adjustment range is minus (-) 8 percent to plus (+) 8 percent of the ECM calculated value. The factory default is 0 percent.Transmission Oil Type Configuration - When the transmission oil is changed, the correct viscosity of the new transmission oil must be entered using the Monitoring System Display or Cat ET Configuration Screen. After the oil is changed, select the correct viscosity of the new oil. Once the new oil viscosity has been entered, the Transmission Clutch Oil Fill Calibration must be performed. The following oil viscosities are available for selection:
TDTO SAE 0W-20
TDTO SAE 0W-30
TDTO SAE 5W-30
TDTO SAE 10W
TDTO Arctic
TDTO TMS
TDTO SAE 30W (Factory Default)
TDTO SAE 50WAir Conditioning System Installation Status - Indicates whether the air conditioning system is enabled. The factory default is "Not Installed".Battery Cable Shield Monitoring System Installation Status - Indicates that the ECM detects the voltage of the Battery Cable Shield Monitor circuit is above normal.Cold Engine Parasitic Load Reduction Installation - Requires the transmission bypass solenoid to be installed. This feature helps to heat up the oil faster in cold conditions. Factory default is "Not Installed".Implement ECMs
If an ECM was replaced and configuration data from the old ECM could not be saved, most factory default parameters load when the software is flashed to the new ECM. However, the cylinder length parameters and trim files for both steering cylinder position sensors must manually be determined and loaded in the Implement ECM 2 before the machine can be operated.
