Start By:
Remove the air dryer. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Dryer - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolt (1). Remove tube assembly (2) from elbow (3).

Mark the location of housing (4) for installation purposes. Remove bolts (5) that secure end cover (6) to housing (4).

Remove fitting (9) from elbow (8). Remove elbow (8) from check valve (7). Remove check valve (7) from end cover (6).
Remove O-ring seal (10) from check valve (7).

Mark the location of housing (13) for installation purposes. Remove bolts (11) that secure cover (12) and housing (13). Remove cover (12) and housing (13) from end cover (6).

Remove O-ring seals (14), (15) and (16) from housing (13). O-ring seals (14) and (15) may be located in end cover (6).
If necessary, remove relief valve (17) from end cover (6).

Do not use a vise to hold the components during the disassembly and assembly procedures. Hold the components by hand during the disassembly and assembly procedure. Failure to do so could result in damage to parts.
Sudden release of spring force can cause injury.To prevent the possibility of injury, follow the procedure to relieve the spring pressure.
Retain piston (22) in order to remove bolt (18) from housing (13). Remove exhaust diaphragm (19) and purge valve (20) from housing (13).
Remove piston (22) and spring (21) from housing (13). Remove O-ring seal (23) from piston (22).

Position Tooling (A) around desiccant cartridge (24) approximately 51 to 76 mm (2 to 3 inch) from end cover (6). Remove desiccant cartridge (24) from end cover (6).

Remove O-ring seal (25) and O-ring seal (26) from end cover (6).
