Determine the location for the switch. A momentary switch that is normally open should be used.
Fabricate a piece of 16 AWG wire to reach from the control module to the switch.
Crimp an 186-3736 Connector Socket to one end of the wire.
Insert the connector socket into pin 5 (Dimming Input). Connect the remaining end of the wire to the switch.
Fabricate a wire to reach from the switch to the negative battery.
Connect the switch to the negative battery bus bar.Connecting the Gauges to the Control Module

Connecting the gauges to the control module without an extension harness Refer to Illustration 5.Note: An extension harness should only be used when the control module can not be placed close to the gauges.
Connect a 212-8255 Harness As (Y) to the J45 Gauge connector on the 210-4309 Control Module .
Connect a 212-8259 Harness As (Termination) to the 212-8255 Harness As (Y) that is connected to the control module.
Connect a 174-3016 Plug (Termination Resistor) to the 212-8259 Harness As (Termination).
Connect another 212-8255 Harness As (Y) to the first 212-8255 Harness As (Y). Continue to connect the 212-8255 Harness As (Y) until the desired number of gauges are connected to the control module.Note: A maximum of 12 gauges can be connected to
