Installation Procedure
Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

Install the brake actuator to the machine. Install the washers and two nuts (10) that secure brake actuator (4) to the machine. For the correct torque, refer toSpecifications, "Brake Actuator". Position yoke assembly (9) to the slack adjuster. Install pin (7) that secures yoke assembly (9) to the slack adjuster. Install cotter pin (8) that secures pin (7) to yoke assembly (9) .
Adjust the slack adjuster. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Air System and Brakes" for information on adjusting the slack adjuster. Tighten adjustment screw (5) that secures worm shaft (6) in the proper position.

Connect two hose assemblies (3) to brake actuator (4) .

Position rear access panel (2) to the machine. The rear access panel weighs 88 kg (194 lb). Install four bolts (1) that secure rear access panel (2) to the machine. Remove the tooling from the rear access panel.
