Connect the steering frame lock.
Lower the bucket or the blade to the ground.
Position Tooling (A) in front of the front tires and behind the front tires.
Improper blocking of the rear axle housing can cause personal injury.The rear axle housing is made to oscillate. During removal and installation of the rear tires and rims, the rear axle housing must be prevented from oscillating.Place wood blocks between the rear axle housing and the rear main frame to prevent oscillation of the rear axle housing.

Position a suitable block (2) between axle housing (3) and rear main frame (1) on both sides of the machine, as shown. This will prevent the rear axle housing from oscillating.

Position Tooling (B) under the rear loader frame, as shown. Make sure that Tooling (B) is positioned under the frame rails.
Use Tooling (B) in order to raise the rear of the machine until the tires are off the ground.
Lock Tooling (B) in position.

Disconnect harness clips (6). Disconnect harness assembly (4) from the light.
Remove grommet (5) and push harness assembly (4) through the frame and out of the way.
Repeat Steps 7 and 8 for the opposite side of the machine.

Remove hand rails (7) and the toe kicks. Remove panel assembly (8). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

Attach a suitable lifting device to tire and rim (9).
Remove bolts (10) from the rim. Note: Be careful not to damage the valve stem when you are removing tire and rim (9).
Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove tire and rim (9). The combined weight of tire and rim (9) can be as much as 3856 kg (8500 lb).
Repeat Steps 7 through 13 for the other rear tire and rim (9). Installation Procedure
Note: Make sure that the mating surfaces of the rim assembly and of the rear final drive are clean before the tire and the rim are installed.
Install rear tire and rim (9) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (C) to bolts (10). Install bolts (10) in the rim. Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 1150 150 N m (850 110 lb ft). Note: Make sure that the valve stem is aligned with the notched portion of the final drive assembly.
