1. Remove clamps (3), and remove exhaust pipe (1) from the engine.2. Loosen clamp (4), and remove hose (2) from the air cleaner housing. 3. Attach Tooling (A) and a hoist to hood panel (5) as shown. Remove the eight bolts, and remove the hood panel and air cleaner housing from the machine. The weight of the hood panel and air cleaner housing as a unit is 64 kg (140 lb). 4. Open the grill, and disconnect the two wires from the backup alarm.5. If equipped, disconnect the two wires from the rear light.6. Remove all tie wraps that fasten wiring harness (6) to the radiator guard. 7. Remove the cotter pin and washer, and remove rod (8) from grill (7). 8. Attach lifting straps and a hoist to radiator guard (9) as shown. Remove six bolts (10), and remove the radiator guard from the machine. The weight of the radiator guard is 85 kg (187 lb). For installation of the engine enclosure, reverse the removal steps.
