Information:

start by:a) remove hydraulic oil supply tank and lines1. Disassembly and assembly of this tank and later tanks is similar. Cover has been changed from top to front. 2. Remove forty bolts and lockwashers (1).3. Remove cover assembly (2) from tank (3). 4. Remove four bolts (4).5. Remove brake cooling return oil baffle assembly (6).6. Remove four bolts (5).7. Remove transmission scavenge oil baffle assembly (7). 8. Remove cotter pin and pin (8). Remove the linkage from lever (11).9. Remove two bolts (13).10. Remove baffle assembly (12).11. Remove two bolts (9) that hold tube assembly (14) to hoist control valve (10).12. Remove two bolts (not shown) that hold the valve to the tank.13. Remove hoist control valve (10). Use hoist or two persons. Weight of valve is 70 lb. (32 kg). Hoist control valve can be removed from the tank with the tank fastened on the vehicle.14. Put blocks under tank before the cover assembly and upper bracket are removed.15. Remove cover assembly and upper bracket. 16. Disconnect hydraulic lines (15), (16) and (17).17. Remove two bolts (18).18. Remove hoist control valve (10). 19. Loosen nut (25). Remove lever (20).20. Remove two washers (22).21. Remove lever and shaft (19) and adapter (21). Lever (20) is held in position by a key in the shaft. Be sure key is in position at time of assembly.22. Remove seal (24).23. Inspect bearings (23) and contact surfaces of shaft. If needed, use new parts for replacement.24. Make sure all parts are clean and free of dirt and foreign material.25. Install bearings (23), with tooling (A), even with end of tank bore and seal counterbore.26. Install seal (24) with lip toward counterbore with tooling (A).27. Install adapter (21) and lever and shaft (19).28. Use washers (22), as needed, to give center alignment between lever and valve control linkage.29. Put lever (20) in position on shaft, with key in place, against washers. Tighten nut (25) and move lever and shaft assembly to check if it is too tight or too loose.30. Put hoist control valve (10) in position in hydraulic oil supply tank. Install two bolts (not shown) that hold the valve to the tank.31. Put tube assembly (14) in position on the hoist control valve and install two bolts (9).32. Install baffle assembly (12) and install two bolts (13).33. Install linkage to lever (11) and install pin and cotter pin (8).34. Install transmission scavenge oil baffle assembly (7) in the cover. Install four bolts (5).35. Install brake cooling return oil baffle assembly (6). Install four bolts (4).36. Put the cover assembly on the tank.37.
