Service Brake Valve
Remove Service Brake Valve
Compressed air will be released when the pipes are disconnected from the brake valve.This could cause personal injury. Remove pipes slowly and wear suitable protective clothing and goggles.
1. Mark for identification on reassembly, and disconnect the air pipes and wires connected to the valve.2. Remove cotter pin (1) and tap out the treadle pivot pin (2).3. Remove the treadle (4) and spring (3). Support the valve under the cab and take out the three bolts (5) securing the valve to the treadle base. Remove the valve.4. Remove nuts (6) and lift the treadle base off the floor studs. Install Service Brake Valve
1. Locate the treadle base to the floor studs and secure nuts (6).2. Support the valve under the cab floor and locate bolts (5) through the treadle base into the valve and tighten.3. Install the treadle (4) with spring (3), over the treadle base lugs and tap pivot pin (2) into position.4. Install cotter pin (1).5. Re-connect the air pipes and electical wires.
