Engine News SEBD9890, 13 August 2013, "New Wiring Harnesses Are Available for Certain G3500B Engines". The article was revised to add Sales Model to table 1. No other information was changed.The new wiring harnesses have new sockets with receptacles and connectors that allow for improved alignment during installation.The new harnesses contain the 232-0019 Receptacle and the 232-0020 Connector As. The new receptacle and connector are used on the engine main harness, the ECM internal harness, and the engine interface box harness.Updated harnesses are not compatible with the original harnesses installed on the engine. All engine harnesses must be updated at the same time. Harnesses with the original connectors are still serviceable and available for use.Table 1 lists the new part numbers needed to complete the update.
