Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.

Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.

Move throttle control switch (3) to the LOW IDLE position.

Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
Raise the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR8176, "Cab - Tilt".

Remove bolts (5) and the washers from the rear of side panel (6) .

Remove bolts (7) and the washers from the front of side panel (6). Remove side panel (6) .
Assemble Tool (A). Connect Tool (A) to Tool (B) .

Remove the cap and install Tool (B) on charge tap (8) .
Assemble Tool (C). Assemble Tool (D). Connect Tool (D) to inlet side of Tool (C) .

Disconnect hose (9) from the fitting in port "L1" of the propel pump.
Connect Tool (D) to the fitting in port "L1" in the propel pump.
Connect hose (9) to outlet side of Tool (C) .
Move engine start switch (4) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes. Move throttle switch (3) to the HIGH IDLE position.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (E). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 6 °C (110 10 °F).
Read charge pressure on Tool (A). The pressure should be 2400 300 kPa (348 43.5 psi).
Read flow on Tool (C). The flow should be 43 3 L/min (11.4 0.8 US gpm).
If the pressure is within the specified range and the flow is within the specified range, go to Step 32. If the pressure is not within the specified range and/or the flow is not within the specified range, go to Step 21.

Loosen locknut (10) and turn adjustment screw (11) clockwise by two turns. The adjustment screw is on the charge relief valve on the vibratory pump.
Hold adjustment screw (11), and tighten locknut (10) to a torque of 14 to 30 N m (10 to 22 lb ft).

Loosen locknut (12) on the charge relief valve on the propel pump. Use adjustment screw (13) in order to set the charge pressure to 2827 69 kPa (410 10 psi). In order to increase pressure, rotate the adjustment screw clockwise. In order to decrease pressure, rotate the adjustment screw counterclockwise.Note: One turn of adjustment screw (13) changes the pressure by approximately 400 kPa (58 psi).
Hold adjustment screw (13), and tighten locknut (12) to a torque of 65 N m (48 lb ft).
Loosen locknut (10) on the charge relief valve on the vibratory pump. Watch flow on Tool (C). Rotate adjustment screw (11) counterclockwise until the flow rate is 43 3 L/min (11.4 0.8 US gpm).
Hold adjustment screw (11), and tighten locknut (10) to a torque of 14 to 30 N m (10 to 22 lb ft).
Read charge pressure on Tool (A). The pressure should be 2400 300 kPa (348 43.5 psi).
