(1) Center the bearing in the bore. Leave 12.7 0.5 mm (0.50 0.02 inch) on each side of the bearing that is in the bore. (2) Before you press the bearing into the bore, cool the bearing between -57 to -68°C (-70 to -154°F). (3) When you install the sealing lips, lubricate the sealing lips with a thin covering of lubricant that is being sealed.Tighten bolts (4) in an opposing pattern. (5) Tighten eight bolts in an opposing pattern to a torque of 88 7 N m (65 5 lb ft). Measure the gap between the cap and the frame. If a gap exists, install a shim of the same thickness as the gap. Tighten to standard torque.
