B     8T-6854     Bolt     2    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the assembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal components.Note: Verify that all of the components of the gear pump are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.Note: Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Use Tooling (A) in order to install two bearings (15) into oil pump body assembly (8) .

Coat the inside of the oil pump body assembly with clean hydraulic oil.
Install oil pump gear (14) into oil pump body assembly (8) .
Install oil pump gear (13) into oil pump body assembly (8) .

Install two dowels (10) into oil pump body assembly (8) .
Install oil pump gear (12) into oil pump body assembly (8) .
Install oil pump gear (11) and the woodruff key into oil pump body assembly (8) .

Use Tooling (A) in order to install two bearings (9) into pump manifold assembly (7) .

Install Tooling (B) into pump manifold assembly (7). Install pump manifold assembly (7) and the O-ring seal onto pump body assembly (8) .Note: Tooling (B) must be modified in order to be used as a guide bolt. Position Tooling (B) in a suitable vise. Remove the head of the bolt in order to use Tooling (B) as a guide bolt.

Use Tooling (A) in order to install two bearings (6) into pump cover assembly (4) .

Install oil pump body assembly (5), the O-ring seal, and the four dowels.
Install pump cover assembly (4) and the O-ring seal.
Remove Tooling (B) .

Install six bolts (3) and the washers.

Install oil pump drive gear (2) and the woodruff key.
Install locknut (1) and the hard washer. Tighten the locknut to a torque of 110 13 N m (80 10 lb ft).End By: Install the gear pump for the power train. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Oil Pump (Charge) - Install".
