Description of Change: There is a new expansion tank assembly for 3500 and 3500B Engines that are equipped with an expansion tank. The new expansion tank has an improved internal structure that reduces stress of the material in the walls of the tank.The new tank can be visually distinguished from the former tank by looking at the side of the tanks. On the former tank, the coolant level gauge is mounted with a flat bar with two drilled and tapped holes. On the new tank, the coolant level gauge is mounted with two separate bosses. Refer to Illustration 1.

(1) New 245-2876 Expansion Tank As (2) Former 7E-7597 Tank Adaptable To: The new 245-2876 Expansion Tank is a direct replacement for the former 7E-7597 Tank. The 245-2876 Expansion Tank is now a serviced part. The 245-2876 Expansion Tank is adaptable to all of the 3500 and 3500B Engines that are listed above. Table 1 lists the effectivity of the new tank in 3500 and 3500B Engines.
