Removal Procedure
Note: Put identification marks on all cables for installation purposes.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery Disconnect Switch" for the correct procedure.

Open the access door on the left side of the machine. Loosen the hose clamps and remove hose (4) that is installed above the batteries.
Remove bolts (1). Remove bolts (2) and remove enclosure (3) .

Note: Battery (8) is a cold weather accessory and this battery may not be installed on all machines.
Disconnect negative battery cables (6). Disconnect positive battery cable (5) from front battery (8). Remove battery hold down (7). Use two people to remove front battery (8), if equipped. The weight of battery (8) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

Disconnect second positive battery cable (5) from second battery (9) .
Remove clamp (11) that secures positive battery cable (5) to battery hold down (10) .
Remove battery hold down (10). Use two people to remove second battery (9). The weight of battery (9) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).Installation Procedure

Use two people to install battery (9) to the original location. The weight of battery (9) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb). Install battery hold down (10) .
Install clamp (11) that secures positive battery cable (5) to battery hold down (10) .
Connect second positive battery cable (5) to battery (9) .

Use two people to install front battery (8). The weight of battery (8) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb). Install battery hold down (7). Connect positive battery cable (5) to front battery (8). Connect negative battery cables (6) to both the batteries.

Install enclosure (3) to the original location and install bolts (2). Install bolts (1) .
Install hose (4). Tighten the hose clamps. Close the access door on the left side of the machine.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery Disconnect Switch" for the correct procedure.
