NEW D11R/N POST TURN TRACK SEALS
Caterpillar now offers new ?Post Turn? Track Seals (PTS) available for all D11R/N track. These new seals have a smaller diameter than the original factory seals. This smaller diameter seal should be used whenever a bushing with a maximum of 50% bushing end grooving (as measured with the 4C-8613 bushing end grooving gage) is being returned to service, such as during a bushing turn or re-seal. The smaller diameter seal will contact a new, unworn bushing surface providing better seal reliability after service.

Adaptability
Post Turn Seals are available as a parts service option for D11R tractors utilizing Sleeve Bearing Track. Post Turn Seals are adaptable to and will retrofit all former D11R and D11N track.
Servicing
The original factory seal assembly (161-7546) is still available for use when bushings are replaced. Bushings should be replaced at turn or re-seal due to end grooving ONLY when the grooving exists inside of the 4C-8613 end grooving gage.
